Journey the other direction and a five minute car journey will bring Los Gigantes into view, Tenerife’s awe-inspiring natural wonder. Soaring up to 800m from the clear waters, these mighty cliffs can be explored by foot or even better by boat encountering a few whales and dolphins along the way. For day-to-day conveniences, Puerto de Santiago is well catered for with bars, restaurants, shops and all-important supermarkets to stock up the self-catering kitchen.
