Cordoba
A two hour drive is all it takes from Grangefield Oasis Club to reach Cordoba, one of Andalusia’s most prized cities. Upstream from Seville on the River Guadalquivir, it was once the heart of the western Islamic empire and La Mesquita - the most beautiful and grandiose mosque constructed by the Moors in Spain - stands proudly today as a nod to that fascinating era. Mesquita aside, Cordoba has superb restaurants, vibrant nightlife and dozens of beautiful patios lavishly planted with foliage and blooms.

Seville
Just about two and half hour’s drive from Grangefield Oasis Club lies Seville, the quintessentially Andalucian city that is famous for far more than its oranges. Arguably packing the best nightlife, the tastiest tapas bars and some of southern Spain’s finest monuments into its riverside metropolis - Seville should not be missed. Home to flamenco and bullfighting, Seville also boasts such architectural delights as La Catedral which is even larger than London’s St Paul’s and Rome’s St Peter’s and La Alcazar palace.

Tangier
Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, given its geographical location in Africa, Tangier is in fact very accessible from Grangefield Oasis Club. The regular fast ferry transports you from Algeciras (an hour from the resort) direct to Tangier in just 35 minutes and then you are quite literally in a different world. Likeable and ever so slightly exotic, Tangier has a wonderful café society, sweeping sandy beaches and the fabulous souks of the medina. The atmosphere, scents, sights and sounds are a world-away from the laid back Costa del Sol.
