Sailing If sailing is your thing, head off to the marinas at Albufeira or Portimão - both of which have been awarded the coveted EU Blue Flag. For a tougher challenge, venture out a little further to the high seas off the coast of Lagos and Sagres where the wind will certainly fill your sails.
Surfing The Algarve has earned itself quite a reputation for surfing thanks to its stunning Atlantic-facing coastline. Pay a visit to the beaches in Vila do Bispo or Lagos and you will be provided with all you need for a session on the waves. Ask at the Information Desk for more details.
Jeep Safari Great fun for all the family, the Jeep Safari takes you to corners of the Algarve that you would never have known existed. Travelling in a convoy of 4 X 4 jeeps, the coastal resorts are left behind to explore the whitewashed inland villages, lemon orchards and eucalyptus groves.

Dolphin Watching Starting out from Albufeira Marina you cruise along the Algarve coastline passing spectacular rock formations and stunning grottoes before heading out to sea in search of the playful schools of dolphins regularly spotted in these waters. The most common species seen are common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins.
