Clube Praia da Oura is perfectly positioned on the golden beach of Albufeira in the Algarve.

For many of our guests, Clube Praia da Oura has become a home-from-home, with many of them returning time and again to enjoy the great social atmosphere and some of the best sea views in the Algarve.

The resort provides two swimming pools, lush tropical gardens, sauna, bowling green, disco, bars, restaurant, children's playground area, self service launderette and sundeck. The vibrant town of Albufeira is only a short walk away.

Activities

Sailing If sailing is your thing, head off to the marinas at Albufeira or Portimão - both of which have been awarded the coveted EU Blue Flag. Surfing The Algarve has earned itself quite a reputation for surfing thanks to its stunning Atlantic-facing coastline. Golf The Algarve is famous for its golf courses and there are more than 20 courses within comfortable reach of the resort. Tennis OuraPraia Hotel offers its guests the chance to play Tennis in its own grounds. Enjoy a game or two, or even take the opportunity to take some lessons and improve your game. Cycling Cycling in southern Europe in the searing summer heat is best left to the true competition athlete. The low season is when the rest of us should be donning our helmets and panniers. Places Of Interest

Lagos Lagos is a beautiful coastal town in the western Algarve. It is full of historical interest with its origins dating as far back as 2000 years BC! Sagres Sagres is a truly tranquil, historical town with beautiful beaches and a picturesque harbour. In Roman times, it was believed to be the most westerly part of the world! Monchique Monchique is a delightful market town in the Serra de Monchique, a thickly wooded mountain range separating the Algarve from Alentejo and offers spectacular views. Tavira Much of the cultural heritage of Tavira dates from the 17th century, revealing a profound religious influence. From this period, Tavira has remained a major commercial centre on the Algarve. Silves Located on a hill in the Serra de Monchique chain, Silves owes its foundation and development to the Arade river. This has long been an important means of communication, attracting settlers as far back as the Iron Age, 3,000 years before Christ. Faro It was during the Roman period that this region developed and gained standing. It was then known as Civitas Ossobonensis. Its borders stretched to where modern Tavira lies and included a number of towns with specific productive, rural and maritime functions. Lisbon On the right bank of the broad Tagus River estuary, the capital of Portugal graciously reclines over rolling hills. This is a spectacular geographical location and does much to explain the cosmopolitan history of the city. Seville Just about two and a half hour's drive from Albufeira lies Seville, the quintessentially Andalusian city that is famous for far more than its oranges. Gibraltar From ancient times, right through to the age of Empires and the global conflicts of our own century, Gibraltar has stood guard over the western Mediterranean, its unique position making it the focus of a continuous struggle for power.
